A Simple Work-in-Progress System for Multiple Crochet Projects
Share
Multiple projects are manageable when each one is a complete little workspace rather than a loose pile.
Give each project a home
Use a bag, basket or box large enough for the current fabric without crushing it. Keep the active yarn, exact hook and necessary notions inside.
Add a project card
Record the project name, hook size, yarn, current row or round, selected size and any pattern changes. End each session with the next instruction written plainly.
Secure the work
Place a locking marker through the working loop if the hook is removed. Cap sharp tools and close small accessories in a pouch.
Limit invisible projects
Keep active WIPs where they can be reviewed, and move paused projects to a labelled shelf. Set a regular moment to decide whether each project should continue, be redesigned or be carefully unravelled.
Photograph the current state before long storage. The image helps identify orientation and progress later.
Keep this in mind
Keep every project self-contained and always leave a written instruction for the next session.
